We're seeing a lot of heeled shooties (shoe-like boots) this season, and, truth be told, we're not falling all over ourselves for them. We know that a heavier shoe is hot and all, but some of them just seem a little awkward -- like they'd cut off the leg in a bad spot, and some just don't have much style. These, however, we want.

This mix of school girl and sexiness has us all excited -- it's like a standard oxford lace-up, but with a peep-toe! and stiletto! and it's red! It's the Peep-toe Oxford Pump, and it's just $59 at Spiegel.

Now, if you're unsure about the red, they do come in black, and we're kind of loving them in the darker hue, too -- it's just that the red is so much fun. Aside from pairing them with the short plaid mini and this fall's de rigeur crested blazer, we'd throw them on with a sharp pencil skirt and feminine blouse, and maybe even with some wider-leg black trousers to mix it up.

3. Go for the bold: Juicy colors like cherry red, deep plum, apple green, and mustard yellow are in as are dusty pastels like pink, lavender, and ice blue.

4. Back to Basics: Clean basic shapes in classic black and white (yes, white after Labor Day *gasp*) are go to staples.

It feels to us that summer is slowly starting to leak into winter, literally. And we're just fine with that!

Holy grandma sweater with cows that look like they're doin' it on it.

They're not. They're not. We looked closely, and there is a well-hidden foot coming from the cow that um, looks like it is mounting the other cow. The perspective may have fooled you, but they're not doing what you perhaps at first thought they were doing.

Still, can we get a WTF with a glass of milk over here? Someone would have to grab your shirt and examine it to see for sure whether or not you were wearing PG-13 animal lovin. When you meet someone, you don't want their first impression of you to be muddled by the fact that you may or may not have had coital cows on your sweater.

This is seriously hilarious. Could you keep a straight face if your grandma gave you this for your birthday? If your grandma showed up in this? WTF?

Since these guards are one of the foremost icons of British military tradition, the standards are set understandably high. In other words, cheap rugs aren't going to cut it. If you're an aspiring headgear designer, the Telegraph is accepting submissions for an alternative helmet design.
