Accessories, Shoes, Must Haves We’re seeing a lot of heeled shooties (shoe-like boots) this season, and, truth be told, we’re not falling all over ourselves for them. We know that a heavier shoe is hot and all, but some of them just seem a little awkward — like they’d cut off the leg in a bad spot, and some just don’t have much style. These, however, we want. This mix of school girl and sexiness has us all excited — it’s like a standard oxford lace-up, but with a peep-toe! and stiletto! and it’s red! It’s the Peep-toe Oxford Pump, and it’s just $59 at Spiegel. Now, if you’re unsure about the red, they do come in black, and we’re kind of loving them in the darker hue, too — it’s just that the red is so much fun. Style Tip of the DayWe are loving the trends for fall 2008. They completely juxtapose everything we previously knew about fall and winter clothing. We’re looking forward to a vibrant season come October. Here are the top 5 trends that we are loving right now.1. Feminine Texture: Add just a touch of pretty texture to your looks by way of silk, lace or satin. 2. Prints: Don’t be a shrinking violet just because it’s winter! Swirly art and flower prints are still big for fall so take that summer dress, throw on a cardigan and tights and voila; you’re ready for fall!3. Go for the bold: Juicy colors like cherry red, deep plum, apple green, and mustard yellow are in as are dusty pastels like pink, lavender, and ice blue. Shoes, Get the LookLindsay Lohan has been seen around town paying “Tribute” to the late Yves Saint Laurent. We thinks Lindsay Lohan has the YSL Tribute’s in every style and color matey! She was just spotted in a gold strappy pair and here she is again in a black peep toe version. We’re liking it. In combination with that random hat, just liking. Don’t get too crazy now. ClothingHoly cow. Holy cows. Holy grandma sweater with cows on it. Holy grandma sweater with cows that look like they’re doin’ it on it.They’re not. They’re not. We looked closely, and there is a well-hidden foot coming from the cow that um, looks like it is mounting the other cow. The perspective may have fooled you, but they’re not doing what you perhaps at first thought they were doing. Still, can we get a WTF with a glass of milk over here? Someone would have to grab your shirt and examine it to see for sure whether or not you were wearing PG-13 animal lovin. When you meet someone, you don’t want their first impression of you to be muddled by the fact that you may or may not have had coital cows on your sweater. This is seriously hilarious. Style in the NewsIn a move that’s sure to make anti-fur activists giddy, Britain’s Ministry of Defence is currently searching for synthetic material to outfit those stonefaced iconic guards at Buckingham Palace. Today, the MoD is meeting with Peta representatives to find a reasonable substitute for those funky black bearskin hats. Yes, they’re really made of Canadian black bear fur, and what’s more — it takes an entire bear to make just one hat. So, the MoD’s switch to synthetic isn’t purely symbolic. Government officials have pondered the idea of finding a substitute before, but apparently they haven’t like any of their options. Now Peta’s bringing out the big guns. Celebrity Fashion Mistakes In deciding to don this fine bit of fabric for a red carpet event, we imagine Jodie Marsh thinking the following:”Okay, so if it covers nipples, it’s considered a ’shirt’, right? I mean, sure, this won’t push my knockers up to my chin, but WOW! Just LOOK at how much of my front I can legally show! Man, is Jordan going to be jealous!”We’re also quite certain that she practiced posing to ensure her breast best look (although, does anyone else think this is not only hideous but wildly unflattering?), because, when she moved out from the perfect pose, this is what happened:Yikes.
